FAQ

The questions buyers and new users ask most about the Elementor addon.

Do I need the NivoSync core plugin?

Yes. The addon has no catalogue, no diamond data and no checkout of its own — it reads everything from the core through a versioned bridge. It also needs a core recent enough for the bridge features it uses; if yours is too old, the addon disables itself and says so rather than erroring on your storefront.

Do I need Elementor Pro?

No. Everything works with free Elementor 3.16 or newer. No widget in the addon is behind a Pro-only control.

Does it work with my theme?

Almost certainly. It is verified against the classic themes people actually pair with Elementor — Hello Elementor, Astra, GeneratePress, OceanWP — and the WordPress block themes, at mobile, tablet and desktop widths.

The one class of theme problem worth knowing about is an aggressive reset.css fighting plugin styles. The addon is hardened against the known cases, and the Style tab always wins if you hit a new one. See Troubleshooting.

Do I have to rebuild my whole site?

No, and you should not try. Assign one surface at a time; every surface you leave unassigned keeps rendering with the active NivoSync theme, exactly as before. A perfectly reasonable end state is an Elementor single diamond page and everything else on the theme.

Can I mix NivoSync widgets with ordinary Elementor widgets?

Yes, and that is the main reason to buy it. Any Elementor widget can carry live diamond or setting data through dynamic tags, the shortcode or placeholders — a Heading that reads the carat and shape, a Button linking to the certificate PDF, your own copy with the lab name inline.

Do I need WooCommerce?

Only for ring settings, the Ring Builder and the cart. A site that shows a diamond catalogue and takes enquiries runs fine without it.

What happens if my licence expires?

The widgets stop rendering on your site and those pages fall back to the NivoSync theme, and the widgets are hidden in the Elementor panel. Your templates and their designs are untouched and come back the moment the licence is active again — including if you open and save a template while unlicensed. An inactive licence never edits or deletes your work.

What happens if I deactivate the addon?

The same as an expired licence, permanently: every surface reverts to the active NivoSync theme. Your templates stay in the Elementor library, and reactivating restores the assignments. Deactivating the addon cannot break your storefront.

Is it compatible with cache plugins?

Yes, and it inherits the core's rules. The catalogue and single diamond pages are visitor-neutral and safe to full-page cache. The Ring Builder routes and setting pages depend on the shopper's session and are marked non-cacheable automatically, so no manual exclusion rules are needed with plugins that honour the WordPress DONOTCACHEPAGE standard — LiteSpeed Cache, WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache and WP Super Cache all do.

Can two different pages use different skins?

Yes. The skin is a per-widget control, not a global setting. A landing page can run Alexandra while your main catalogue runs Sofia.

Can I use the addon on a multilingual site?

Yes. It uses the standard WordPress translation system and ships six languages. Multilingual plugins that switch the locale per request are honoured. See Translations.

How many sites does one licence cover?

Licensing follows the core's terms — the addon activates against the same key as your bundle. Check your account for the site allowance on your plan.

Will my templates survive an update?

Yes. Updates change the plugin's code, never your Elementor templates or your assignments. The assignments live in NivoSync's own options and persist across updates and deactivations.

Where do the diamond images and 360° views come from?

From the Nivoda feed, synced by the core. The addon displays them; it does not host or generate them. A stone the supplier never filmed has no video, and the widget simply does not show that entry.

Can I try it before buying?

Ask us for a demo. The demo sites run the real plugins with real catalogue data, one per skin.
