Elementor addon overview

What NivoSync for Elementor adds, what it deliberately does not change, and how its 51 widgets and seven template surfaces fit together.

5 min readUpdated 2026-08-15

NivoSync renders its catalogue, diamond pages and Ring Builder through its own template system. That system works with any theme and needs no page builder — it is why the core plugin is themeable without you touching code.

NivoSync for Elementor adds the other option: 51 native Elementor widgets, so you can design those same pages yourself, block by block, with Elementor's own controls.

It is an addon, not a replacement. Everything that matters commercially — the Nivoda catalogue data, the Ring Builder session, pricing, the WooCommerce cart — stays in the core. This plugin only decides how it all looks.

Who this is for

Reach for the addon when the built-in themes get you 90% of the way and the last 10% matters: your own typography, your own section order, your brand's spacing, a hero above the catalogue, a trust row under the buy button.

Stay on the core's themes when what you want is a good-looking diamond store without designing one. The themes are finished products, not starting points — there is no penalty for using them.

The two ideas you need

Almost everything in these docs follows from two concepts.

Surfaces. NivoSync owns seven places where it renders something: the single diamond page, the single setting page, the three Ring Builder steps, and the card used for each item in a diamond loop and a setting loop. Each of those is a surface, and each surface can be pointed at an Elementor template you designed. A surface with no template assigned keeps rendering with the active NivoSync theme.

Skins. Every widget that draws something visual ships with five looks: Default, Sofia, Dayana, Maya and Alexandra. Pick one and the widget adopts that design, including its own background. Then Elementor's Style tab overrides anything you disagree with — your controls always win over the skin.

What you get

51 widgetsIn six panel groups: Catalogue, Filters, Single Diamond, Settings, Single Setting, Ring Builder.
7 assignable surfacesMigrate one page at a time; anything unassigned keeps working as before.
1 widget for the whole Ring BuilderRoute-aware: one template covers all three steps.
5 skinsApplied consistently across cards, filters, stepper and summary.
3 ways to print live dataDynamic tags, a shortcode, and {placeholders} inside widget text fields.
6 languagesEnglish plus Spanish, German, French, Italian and Dutch.

The widget groups

Open Elementor's widget panel and you will find six NivoSync groups:

The six groups the addon adds to Elementor's widget panel.
  • NivoSync — Catalogue. The Diamond Loop (grid or list, three pagination modes, AJAX filtering) and Diamond Catalogue, which embeds the core's catalogue for a chosen skin when you want exact parity with the theme.
  • NivoSync — Filters. Shape, Carat, Price, Grade, Certificate, Origin, Advanced Range, Media, Search, Sort, Per Page, Results Count and Applied Filters — plus a combined Diamond Filters block that holds them all in one repeater.
  • NivoSync — Single Diamond. Sidebar, Title, Image, Gallery, Price, Specifications, Field, Certificate, Actions and Content Section.
  • NivoSync — Settings. Setting Loop, filter bar, metal / style / shape filters, results count and buttons.
  • NivoSync — Single Setting. Single Setting Panel, Ring Total, Similar Settings, Add to Cart, Specs, Consultation, Configurator, Gallery, Option, Image, Title, Price and Field.
  • NivoSync — Ring Builder. The Ring Builder composer, Stepper, Mini and Summary.

What it needs

RequirementWhy
NivoSync core, active and licencedThe addon has no catalogue, no data and no checkout of its own. It reads everything from the core through a versioned bridge.
Elementor 3.16 or newerThe container layout era. Elementor Pro is not required for any widget.
WooCommerceOnly for ring settings, the Ring Builder and the cart. A diamond-catalogue-only site does not need it.
An addon licenceThe same key as your bundle. Without it the widgets are hidden and stop rendering — see Installation and licence.

What it deliberately does not do

  • It does not replace the core's themes. They keep working, on every surface you have not assigned a template to.
  • It does not touch pricing, stock or checkout. Those are the core's, and the addon reads them rather than reimplementing them. A price shown by an addon widget is the same number the core would show.
  • It does not add its own diamond data. No second sync, no second cache.
  • It does not require Elementor Pro. Nothing in the addon is behind a Pro-only control.

Where to go next

If you want the fastest possible win, build the Ring Builder first — one template, one widget, ten minutes: Quick start: Ring Builder.

If you would rather understand the machinery before building, read Template roles and surfaces — it is the concept the rest of the addon hangs from.
