Dynamic data

Three ways to print live diamond and setting data anywhere on the page — dynamic tags, the [nivosync_data] shortcode, and {placeholders} inside widget text fields.

The NivoSync widgets render diamond and setting data for you. Sometimes you want that data somewhere else: in a heading you wrote, inside a button's link, in a paragraph of your own copy.

There are three ways, and which you use depends on what you are filling in.

1. Dynamic tags — for Elementor's own controls

Any Elementor control with the dynamic icon (Heading text, Text Editor, Image, Button link…) can pull NivoSync data. Click the icon, choose a NivoSync tag, then choose the field.

Seven tags:

TagFills
Diamond TextAny text control. 19 fields.
Diamond NumberNumeric controls.
Diamond ImageImage controls.
Diamond URLLink controls — the diamond's page, its certificate PDF.
Setting TextAny text control. 10 fields.
Setting ImageImage controls.
Setting URLLink controls.

2. The shortcode — for plain text

Drop [nivosync_data] into any Text Editor or Shortcode widget.

[nivosync_data field="shape"]
[nivosync_data field="price"]
[nivosync_data source="setting" field="band_width"]
[nivosync_data field="cut" fallback="—"]
AttributeDefaultWhat it does
fieldWhich field to print. Required.
sourcediamonddiamond or setting.
fallbackemptyPrinted when the field has no value.

The fallback attribute is worth using on fields that are legitimately empty sometimes. Cut, for instance, is blank for fancy shapes — a fancy-shape stone has no cut grade, and printing nothing is correct, but a dash reads better in a table.

3. Placeholders — inside NivoSync widget text

Several NivoSync widgets have text controls that accept {tokens}. The control's own description tells you which it takes.

Diamond texts: {shape} {carat} {color} {clarity} {cut} {lab} {cert} {price}

Setting texts: {style} {band_width} {sku} {metal}

Counters and buttons: {total} {n} {price} {lab}

Examples that ship as defaults:

{carat} Carat {shape} Diamond
{total} diamonds
{lab} Certified
Add to Ring — {price}

This is how you write a subtitle like {style} Setting · {band_width} without touching a dynamic tag.

Field reference

Diamond fields: shape · carat · color · clarity · cut · polish · symmetry · fluorescence · lab · cert_number · price · price_per_carat · table · depth · ratio · length · width · labgrown · availability

Setting fields: title · price · sku · styles · metals · compatible_shapes · center_stone · side_stones · band_width · short_description

The same reference as this page, one click away while you are building.

Formatting is handled for you

Values arrive display-ready. Colour and clarity print as D and SI1, not the feed's lowercase codes. Cut, polish and symmetry print as Excellent and Very Good. Shapes are capitalised. Prices carry your store's currency symbol and formatting.

The one deliberate blank: cut on a fancy shape. Fancy shapes are not cut-graded, so the field is empty on purpose. Use fallback if you want a dash there.

Worked example

A custom hero above the specifications on your single diamond template, built from an ordinary Elementor Heading and Text Editor:

  • Heading, using Diamond Text → Shape with a {carat} Carat prefix.
  • Text Editor: A breathtaking [nivosync_data field="shape"] diamond of [nivosync_data field="carat"] carats, [nivosync_data field="lab"] certified.
  • Button, with its link from Diamond URL → Certificate PDF.

None of it is a NivoSync widget, and all of it is live data.
