Cookies are small text files stored by your browser when you visit a website. We use as few cookies as possible. The list below is the complete inventory.
1. Strictly necessary
These cookies are essential for the website to function. They cannot be turned off without breaking core functionality. They do not require consent under UK PECR / EU ePrivacy.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
nivosync_session | Identifies your authenticated session on /account/* pages. Set only after you sign in. Sent with every request to the protected endpoint. | 30 days from last activity |
nivosync_csrf | Anti-CSRF token bound to your session. Prevents form submissions originating from other websites. | Session only |
2. Functional (optional)
These cookies remember preferences. They are not strictly necessary but improve your experience. They are set only after you take an explicit action that uses them.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
nivosync_theme | Stores your light/dark theme preference once we ship the theme switcher. | 1 year |
3. Analytics β privacy-first, cookie-free
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how many people visit the site and which pages are popular. It is cookie-free and privacy-first by design: it sets no cookies, does not use fingerprinting, collects no personal data, and does not follow you across other websites. Because nothing it does requires consent under UK PECR / EU ePrivacy, you do not see a cookie consent banner β there is nothing to consent to.
We run no Google Analytics, no advertising or tracking pixels, and no cross-site trackers. If we ever add a tool that does require consent, we will introduce a consent banner and update this policy before it goes live.
4. Marketing / advertising
We do not set marketing or advertising cookies. We do not use Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, or any cross-site tracker on this site.
5. Third-party cookies on linked services
When you click through to a third-party service (PayPal checkout, Calendly demo booking, an external link), that third party may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. We do not control those cookies. The third parties currently linked from this site are:
6. How to opt out / clear cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings β Privacy and Security β Cookies and other site data.
- Firefox: Settings β Privacy & Security β Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari: Settings β Privacy β Manage Website Data.
Disabling the strictly-necessary cookies will break the authenticated areas of this site. Disabling functional cookies simply resets the preference to the default each visit.
7. Changes
If we add or remove cookies, this notice is updated. The current version is always at /legal/cookies.
